Enhancing Environmental Health by Community Organizations (EEHCO) Project in Rural Areas (EEHCO) |
The project aimed to improve access to safe water and sanitation facilities through behavior change activities. As a result, the capacity of the community was enhanced through training and orientation programs. Behavior change was achieved through mass communication campaigns, leading to improved hygiene practices. New water points were developed and rehabilitated to ensure safe water access, while a demand-driven sanitation program was established to promote sustainable sanitation solutions. Ultimately, these interventions contributed to the overall improvement of the living standards of the project area's population.
