The project has been implementing the following WASH components with regards to reducing public health risks related to water, sanitation, and hygiene with special focus on COVID-19 prevention and protection:

1. WASH in schools followed by implementation of 3-star approach with a special focus on COVID19.
2. Continuation of operations and maintenance support to water and sanitation facilities established in the previous project implemented by the same partner.
3. Raising awareness on public health risk related to COVID19 through districtwide social campaigns, interactive messaging, and handwashing demonstrations (note: activities to be varied based on latest government guidance to ensure the health and safety of all involved).

Supporting and building capacity of the Local Government Institutes on WASH planning, implementation, and monitoring in regard to COVID19.
