NGO Forum for Public Health has been implemented the project titled “Life Saving WASH services for the Amphan cyclone affected people of the selected sub-districts (Upazilas) in Barguna and Patuakhali districts” since July 09, 2020 – November 08, 2020 and successfully completed the project with the financial support by the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund. In this project period, the working locations were Patharghata upazila under Barguna district and Kalapara upazila under Patuakhali district.
The expected results of the projects are given below
- 1,432 people with disabilities with their families (7700 people) are benefited from hygiene promotion session and 300 affected elderly, people with disability and their families (1500 people) are benefited from 300 rehabilitated latrines and handwashing devices.
- 100,000 affected people reached with key hygiene messages through community level awareness session (on handwashing with soap, menstrual hygiene management, and water safety plan) and message dissemination using mass media channel by cable network and miking (loudspeaker).
