On 27 October 2021, NGO Forum for Public Health has significantly participated & contributed in Global Hand Washing Day & National Sanitation Month (October 2021) observation at Cox’s Bazar city. That program was jointly organized by DPHE & UNICEF along with all other WASH agencies working in Cox’s Bazar. ADC (Revenue), Executive Engineer, DPHE & WASH Sector Coordinator along with other local government representatives of Cox’s Bazar were present as guest in this event & shared their good wishes about improved hand hygiene, safe sanitation & solid waste management practice among the citizens of Cox’s Bazar city & district.

There were 3 points for the celebration of this event. First one was in Labone Point decorated by VERC. Second one was at Shugandha Point decorated by NGO Forum for Public Health with 20 hand washing devices for hand washing demonstration. And the third one was at Dolphin Circle jointly decorated by NGO Forum for Public Health, HYSAWA & World Vision Bangladesh. After inauguration & opening speech by the honorable guests at the Labone Point, there was a colorful rally along with band party from Labone Point to Dolphin Circle. In between, there was a festive hand washing demonstration & speech on the importance of hand washing & safe sanitation by Executive Engineer, DPHE & WASH Sector Coordinator, Cox’s Bazar at the Shugandha Point. The program was closed after a live music show where dedicated songs on hand washing & safe sanitation were performed by the local artists along with UNICEF implementing partners & the local audience.
