NGO Forum for Drinking
Water Supply and Sanitation (DWSS) is the apex networking and service
delivery organization working in the WatSan sector since 1982. Under the
umbrella of NGO Forum for DWSS, NRC is established in 2001 to act as a
catalyst to provide support services through information and knowledge
management and dissemination. As one of the features of a resource centre,
NRC is enriching its database launched in 2004 with objective for archiving
and systematically retrieves data and information of water and sanitation
sector. Through this database system, it has been possible by NGO Forum to
procure data for the systematic use for the WatSan Sector and NGO Forum
itself.
The
WatSan database covering information on “who is doing what, their reports,
researches, achievements, organizations etc” with huge back-end support, is
being upgraded to make it more informative, user-customized, and online.
WatSan bodies around the world can easily access to database with the
facility of entering and uploading the data and information. It is believed
that through the enriched and informative online-database, NRC could
flourish the WatSan sector making information and knowledge accessible and
reachable to all
