Ms. Nubia Sandoval joined NGO Forum for Drinking Water Supply & Sanitation as a Water Supply and Sanitation Engineer in March 2007 and she was based at the National Resource Centre (NRC). Since completing her Engineering degree in 2001, Nubia has gained extensive experience in varying capacities, commencing her career in wastewater and sludge management in Manchester, England. She then returned to Australia to enhance her experiences as a consultant in the environmental management and groundwater monitoring fields. Nubia has also worked in the regional urban water sector as the Water Quality Engineer, which included water treatment and drinking water quality management as well as trade waste management work.
During her time at NGO Forum Nubia was engaged in capacity building activities including water treatment, wastewater management and case study investigations, she worked alongside her NRC counterparts. She also had the opportunity to visit field sites which had helped her in developing an understanding of the challenges faced with the supply of water treatment systems and adequate sanitation facilities to rural communities in Bangladesh.
