What do the letters 'NRC' stand for?
NRC stands for ‘National Resource Centre’ that has been working
under the umbrella of NGO Forum for Drinking Water Supply & Sanitation.
In the water and sanitation (WatSan) sector of Bangladesh, NRC has
become familiar with its resource, publications and dedicated services
to scaling up the sector.
Does NRC fund projects?
NRC is not a funding body. We provide information and knowledge
support on water, sanitation and related environmental and hygiene
issues to the partner organizations, academic institutions, donor
agencies and individuals those who are interested in WatSan.
Does NRC have field offices?
No. NRC works under NGO Forum for Drinking Water Supply & Sanitation,
the NGO Forum has its 14 regional offices all over the country.
What does NRC do?
Knowledge sharing and knowledge dissemination are the key activities
of NRC. We provide accessible, high-quality information that is
geared to our clients needs. The NRC library embedded with a rich
collection of different kinds of publications, resources and services
have been pushed forward to be known as a national archive for WatSan
also. The collection of useful documents, reports, journals and
books, particularly on WatSan; development issues, health, hygiene,
environment and poverty is capable to meet the demand of researchers,
professionals and also the academic thirst. The rationale of the
NRC library is to provide any relevant and necessary information
to all.
